Bean tried to explain to the mommies that the marshmallows accidentally fell out and got lost and that he needed more marshmallows to keep him from being disruptive.

So they gave him 2 marshmallows for his fangs and told him if he behaved, he could eat them at the end of the night.

a frightening tale!

This is the day Bean has been looking forward to all month.

It's time for another story and this one will take us to Halloween!

pumpkin 5

Alright, Bean, let's go. Bring your pumpkin. We need to go get you some carving tools and stencils.

October 15, 2008

pumpkin 3

Bean, are you asleep? These are pumpkins not poppies. Do you want to look at some more pumpkins or is that the one you want?

October 14, 2008

pumpkin patch 2

Bean, you haven't even stepped two feet into the patch, but you're sure you want that one?

October 13, 2008

pumpkin patch

Is that the pumpkin you want, Bean?

Another series is here. This week we'll watch Bean fall for a pumpkin!

October 10, 2008

be fair!

Bean and I are going to the Texas State Fair.

And Bean, while you'll look stupendous, I think a hat like this is more becoming for this particular fair. Especially when paired with the poncho.

October 9, 2008

nice to meet you

Bean, I don't think people will appreciate you wanting to shake their hands with oven mitts on. It's not even that cold out.

But the cow print is endearing.

favorite things

Bean would like to show you his two favorite things about Texas:
1) Driving- of course he doesn't drive but he likes riding in cars that aren't mustard yellow and don't have drivers that won't turn on the AC.
2) Kolaches- and the fact that there is cheese IN the sausage.

slugger

Being back in Texas, Bean is reminded of funny little things he can't find in the big city. Let's just hope he washed the salty tortilla chip residue off his fingers before he tries to pet his new friend.

gourdgeous

While waiting for leaves to fall, Bean likes to play with gourds as if they were baby swans. Not quite the same texturally but in shape, yes.

rake 'em in

Bean, I think we need to let a couple more leaves fall before you can get your pile going.
