Bean wants you to know that he had every intention of making a real flag, but his hand started cramping at star number 13. So, sorry Rhode Island and the other 38 states after it. As for the stripes, I am not sure what went wrong there...
Bean, while I agree that cranberry red is a lovely color, I think you should put that back in the holiday closet. Not everyone might be ready, like you are, to stretch Christmas into a 2 month celebration. But you can go ahead and pull Sufjan's 5 disc Songs for Christmas off the shelf.
Bean is a little jealous; he wanted to make history.
It's ok, Bean; history isn't like my secret recipe brownies. You can make it, too; anyone can! History is a never ending story and it's writers are normal people that do extraordinary things. And if you ask me, Bean, I think your odds look pretty good!
Bean doesn't get to vote today, but he would like to share a favorite quote from the tall bearded man with the tall hat, Abe Lincoln.
"...I know that the Lord is always on the side of the right. But it is my constant anxiety and prayer that I and this nation should be on the Lord's side." Hooray for democracy!
While Bean was preoccupied with pumpkins, fall came to Central Park! So here is a postcard and photo from NYC. And in typical postcard fashion, Bean would like to add- Wish you were here!
